Note about Basic Builds: These guides are not meant to be comprehensive “bibles” on how you must build your class, but offer solid alternatives to get started in this new mod. Each of these builds should offer a solid foundation for you to start playing the new mod, but do not necessarily represent “BiS”, as that can depend on your prefered playstyle, gear, and stats.
Up to 80
DPS Fighter: This build is intended as a starter build based on the dps build to get you through levelling to 80. (Thanks Hastur)
This is a build put together by someone who:
- Does not run ACT.
- Does not tests builds / gear etc thoroughly (OK I did test Bull Charge & Momentum but that’s about it, hmm and heavy slash).
- Doesn’t care about paingiver.
Please keep this in mind, but they are a good player.
Primary – Reave for Multi and Brazen Slash for Single Target
Secondary – Heavy Slash (always in loadout for the 5% damage buff)
Single Target – Bull Charge, Griffons Wrath, Anvil of Doom
Multi target – Bull charge, Onslaught, Shield Slam
Multi Target – Earth Shaker
Single Target – Mow Down
Momentum – always on. Buffs bull charge by 70%, removes the knockback & increases run speed – the Fighters best feature (imo).
Enduring Vengeance (if you keep vengeance over 50%) / Greater Endurance (if you want speed & don’t need DPS – i.e. Dread Ring Lairs)
Weight of Vengeance – buffs Anvil of Doom’s damage and reduces cooldown. Notes: you must have at least 25% vengeance for it to have any effect & this consumes vengeance
Prepared Slam – damage buff for AoE encounters
Roiling Hatred – restore vengeance when you crit (yes please). Note: Vengence needs to be at least 50% full for this to work
Landwaster – Honestly both options here are meh. Allows a 2nd daily if your Vengeance is at least 90% full but uses up all your vengeance which means you have to refill and you will lose Enduring Vengeance stacks
Executioners Cut – some extra damage and vengeance (Bloody Reprise is too much effort to trigger
Choose the stats you need
Arp, Crit & accuracy to 68K, then stack power
Defence to 68K, then stack Critical Avoidance & Awareness
Marathon Runner (2nd tier) – faster movement
Simple Support (3rd tier) – companion influence
Sever Criticism (5th tier) – more Crit Severity
Master Boon – Deathly Rage
Final Note – end game the stat cap is 80K not 68K
If your crit is low would you choose the feat that fills vengencewhen you crit.
Final Note – end game the stat cap is 80K not 68K (new dungeon 85k)
